A RECENT PICTURE OF ME

"Don't let yourself become a blur."

KT PINTO

KT was born in Brooklyn, NY, where children are raised with strong opinions and city attitudes. She spent most of her young life with her nose in a book and, when she was bad, she was punished by being sent outside to interact with other children.

She started writing science fiction when she was 12, and then began a teen romance series entitled The Left-Overs that - over six years - became 25 novels long. None of these novels have made it to print yet because, in her own words, these novels need a loooooooot of work. She then tried her hand at adult romance and fantasy, until she found her niche in horror... but not the horror she's writing today. Although vampyric in nature, the novel she began writing in college had a different supernatural mythos and a heroine that was completely human.

The mythos of Celeste didn't occur until KT created her as a one-shot for a LARP she had a hand in running (for a full pictorial explination of Celeste's creation, click here) The rest, as they say, is history...

All comments are said out of love from the author

I would pretty much be nowhere without the love and support of my family.
They accepted my weirdness from the start and did all they could to make sure I followed my dreams.
From L to R: My brother Tony, Maudy, Pops, Me and my BIL Christian.

Kate has been my best friend for over 20 years,
and Pat for 19.
(Yes, Pat did wear a Mets hat for his wedding!)
This is the only pic I have of them together,
but they haven't changed much since then...

I've known G and Steve for over 15 years.
They are always there when I need them
and G's laughter lights up a room!

I've known Matt for 18 years, and am
so happy he's going to be married to Shana!
Matt has supported me so much,
I wouldn't know how to even begin thanking him!

This is my Cousin John.
I am proud to say I get all my weirdness from him.
Dezinigomoh Klim forever!!!

See, I told you Nee Nee was a red-headed amazon!
This gorgeous woman
(who should be a professional model)
enjoys being my bodygoddess. Who am I to stop her?

The handsome bald guy on the left is Sto
(yes, that Sto)
promoting his television show Scared
with cast-mate Brian

Dave is one of those odd friends
that you can never forget.
He's also someone you can count on
in both good times and bad.

Keith is a friend of whom I am
a total fangirl!
He is a fantastic author who knows
good horror when he reads it!

Meeting Miranda after months of chatting on line
was an absolute pleasure!
Happily I always seem to make friends with
sultry, sexy women...

Chris is Miranda's husband.
Let me tell you how great it is waking up to him
doing shirtless push-ups at the foot of the bed...

Patrick writes the Murphy's Lore series, which I adore.
He also appreciates really good mystery stories...

CJ is my mentor,
a fabulous author and - along with Patrick -
was my first professional editor.

It's good that Victor's an amazing artist
as well as good looking, because it would be horrible
to have an ego that huge without any cause...

Rob is another friend whose artwork I drool over.
I love him like a brother...
even when he's acting doofy!

Zombie created this wonderful world of art,
and I am proud to say both Celeste and myself
have been guests in it.

Andy is a great LJ friend and an obvious dog lover.
She's also great to vent to!
(which I do... a lot!)

Karrie is one of the many flighty artist friends I have.
Her 'out-there' attitude makes even the most
boring occasions a blast.

James is the computer genius.
He's given me great advice over the years,
some of which I've actually understood!

This is a self-portrait of Ela.
This sexy photographer is a protector of birds
and a fellow Aquarian!

Cherry is a passionate woman who (in my mind)
is as close to being a real-life super hero as possible!
Now where is that spandex outfit?

Krantz and I used to work together at Sears.
Thankfully, we both managed to escape
with our lives... and a little bit of sanity.

Barbara is a friend who I only know from LJ...
for the moment.
Trust me, I plan on meeting this sexy
(and very brave) cowgirl someday!

From my Australian posse: Besides her sweetness
and a family too beautiful to be real,
I will always luv Rell for giving me the chance
to eat chocolate I can't get here in the States!

Also from Down Under: Salirian is an amalgam of
brains, beauty, and an amazing fashion sense!

I have known Ginnie for many years.
She is one of the sweetest people I know.
Makes me wonder why she's friends with me...

Every author must have a stalker.
Luckily for me, Tanya applied for the position...
How could I say no to that face?

Aaron is yet another talented, handsome artist
that I have the pleasure of knowing.
Ain't I a lucky girl?

For some inexplicable reason, Pirate King Mornblade
will not allow his picture to be taken.
This was the best I was going to get from
the rogue swashbuckler...

This is my furry son and my biggest fan, Clifford

Sadly, this album is not yet complete.
*Looks pointedly at certain people*
Among the myriad of people that I want to honor here,
I am missing pictures of Little Lee, Lauren,
and about 20 others.
I also have pics of people, but I need their "real" names
(as opposed to their LJ or MySpace handles.)

More photos to come...

Photos are the property of whoever took them. I can only lay claim to one or two of them...
